Late Night Panic

I had the most realistic drinking dream yet.  It was so full of detail and emotion. It was similar to other drinking dreams I've had, just more vivid.

I took a drink and then was drunk.  I couldn't believe it.  I knew I would start over at day one but was so disgusted with myself for having to start over.  I was in disbelief.  I was trying to figure out how to tell my sober friends.

I was with my daughter, far from home.  I was trying to drive and then searching for a hotel withing walking distance.  I can still see the look on her face...

I woke in a panic and then realized it was just a dream!  Thanks goodness!

  1. I HATE drinking dreams, they can be so disturbing. I had one a few nights ago where I was trying to find a drink and my mom was following me, making my attempts unsuccessful! It is so unsettling to wake up and wonder if it really happened, then I'm so grateful to realize it didn't. I understand the panic. Lori K xx

Yes, panic is a good word!
I wish you only good sunshiny, t-shirt dreams tonight!

  4. That just speaks of the creeping scourge of alcohol abuse, in all its quiet terrors, burrowing into your mind. You should be careful. Most importantly, you should watch yourself and maintain treatments that will prevent those from crossing into another level. Take care!

Phew - it was just a dream. I have them and definitely get the 'oh no' feeling followed by the relief upon waking xxx
