Hi, My Name is Sarah and...

Gotcha!

You thought you knew how I was going to finish that sentence, right?  But that is not what this is about.  Well it is and it isn't.  The point of this post is that I have a name and it is Sarah.

I think it's been pretty egocentric of me to think that anyone would find this blog, figure out it was me and care.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to post a map of my house, throw up a picture of myself or even give my last name. I'd still like to keep a pretty high degree of anonymity, but knowing my name will hopefully make my blog just a little more personable.

  1. Hi Sarah!
    My name is Wendy!
I like putting my real name out, too!
My blog is NOT anonymous anyway. All my family and good friends, and even yoga peeps know.
I am really glad you know your name!
    Peace and Hugs!

    1. Hi Wendy! Yes, this feels more personal. Although NO ONE in my real life has seen this yet. I'm thinking some might at some point though.

  2. Hi Sarah (and Wendy again), My name is Charlie. I have just told my therapist about my blog. I have not told another soul in my real life. The anonymity has helped me be brutally honest in my blog. For me it is no so much paranoia, I guess I am working through some issues of shame, etc.

    1. Hi Charlie! I know you have some heavy stuff on your blog so I don't blame you one bit. It feels good having a place where if feels safe to say anything and other people understand.

    2. Hi Sarah and Charlie,
I can't write about some things because my family and friends would read it.
If I had some really heavy things,
      I'd keep it annymous, too.
      Hugs to both of you!
      Wendy

    1. Hi Lisa, great question. I'm not a big fan of the "A" word so I don't like to go there. It's quite ridiculous actually because I can easily say that I drink alcoholically but somehow that's different than saying that I am an alcoholic?

    2. Hey no I'm just plain old Fay, I use my grandmothers name to hide myself behind her virtual apron to talk about sober. Seemed like a good way to do it at the time! Hugs and thank you so much for being so kind!

    3. Fay is beautiful...stop saying PLAIN :) I think you are one of the "people I may know" on Facebook because of our mutual sober connections...lol. Let me know if you want to be FB friends, but it's TOTALLY fine if you dont!
